Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, NNN type tridentate bis(pyrazole)-s-triazine and bis(benzotriazole)-s-triazine ligands and the six coordination complexes of these ligands with the Pd(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) were synthesized. The structures of all synthesized compounds were characterized by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, FT-IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic techniques. The catalytic activities of the synthesized complexes were examined in Suzuki Coupling reactions between aryl halides and phenyl boronic acid, and the catalytic reactions were carried out under microwave irradiation. While Pd(II) complexes of both ligands show catalytic activity in Suzuki coupling reactions; it was determined that there was no catalytic activity in Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes. Catalytic experiments have proven that under similar conditions, reactions under microwave irradiation are far superior to conventional heating. As a result of recycle experiments, it was determined that Pd(II) complexes maintained their effectiveness for seven cycles. When the TOF values of the synthesized complex compounds were compared, it was determined that the efficiency of the bis(benzotriazole)-s-triazine Pd(II) complex was better than the bis(pyrazole)-s-triazine Pd(II) complex.
