Abstract (EN)
In today's rapidly advancing technology, the consumption of electrical and electronic products has increased and the problem of electrical and electronic waste (e-waste) has also increased. Electrical and electronic devices have become an indispensable part of our daily lives. With the developing technology, more and more new models are introduced to the market day by day and consumption increases. Many people have no idea about the status of electrical and electronic devices that have expired. The collection, recycling and recovery of these wastes constitute an important problem for both producers and countries. Within the scope of the harmonization process with the European Union, the Regulation on the Control of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) was published in Turkey and entered into force in May 2013. When the potential amount of waste electrical and electronic products per capita in 10 years is compared with today, it is generally observed that the amount of waste per capita per year is 7-8 kg. Within the scope of this study, the formation and potential of e-waste in Bitlis province, the relevant legal regulations were examined and various suggestions were presented for the management, economy and recovery of valuable products in e-waste.
