Abstract (EN)

In this study, withthe powder metalurgy metyhod, İt is studied that metal matrix composite's conductivity and mechanic features with consilidation of copper matrix composite (MMC) with Ferroboron particles. The Ferroboron consilidation particle quantity which is choosen fort his aim, should be %1-1,5-2-2,5-3-3,5 rate by weight and prepared samples are pressed by powder metalurgy method. Then sintering to the sample with 800-850-900 ºC temperatures, it is studied how different temperatures, effect the composites features. Before and after sintering with the aim of deciding conductivity and mechanic feature, some experiments have been made to measure the density of MMC samples. The mechanic and conductivity feautures of the samples that Hardness, transverse rupture, density, conductivity experiments are applied on are determined inthe light of the measurement values. As the result of SEM EDS analysises with microstructure characterization and XRD experiments it has been seen that samples host different intermetalic compunds by the use of sintering. It has been seen that the increase of sintering temperature upgrades the mechanic features, but it doesn't change their conductivitiesç when different composition rates are taken into account, it has been recorded that hardness values increase in parallel with increasing consolidation particle rate in the structure and cross-breaking strength decreases. Elektric conductivity volue doesn't change till %2 Ferroboron consolidation particle rate after this point, it has been recorded that some resistance rise is seen in the structure. When the sintering temperature which is applied on meterial and different consolidation particle rates are taken into account, at 850 C temperature tha sample which hosts %2,5 FeB consolidation particle rate shows the best mechanic features and this sample come forward with it's conductivity volues showing close values to pure copper.
