Borsa İstanbul'da kurumsal yönetim endeks dahiliyetinin hisse performansına etkisi

Listed companies have several stakeholders such as shareholders, managers, employees, investors and even customers. Adopting corporate governance principles help companies draw a framework for written rules and standards that will be followed during the decision-making and management processes in order to ensure that the companies are governed in a way that is optimal for all its stakeholders. In Türkiye, companies that are benchmarked in terms of their adoption of corporate governance practices are tracked through BIST Corporate Governance Index (XKURY). This study takes 73 companies that are listed under XKURY in order to find out if starting to be rated in terms of corporate governance and entering XKURY has an effect on the stock performance of the companies through an event study analysis.
