Boron supplement is necessary forhuman metabolism.Boron content of 10 grape (Vitis vinifera) varietes was determined by usingAzometin H. Spectrophotometric method. The grape samples have been taken fromAdana (Pozantı) and Niğde (Kemerhisar) regions. The method for the spectrophotometric determination of micro amounts ofboron in grapes based on the boron-catalyzed condensation of salicylaldehyde withH-acid. Under the optimum conditions, the absorbency of the yellow complex at 412nm increases linearly with concentration of boron (III).Consequently, the differences have been found in boron content of 10 grapesamples.Key Wors: Azomethin H., Vitis vinifera, determination of boron, boron in grapes.II
