Abstract (EN)
In general, weeds are germinate earlier than the wheat crop and have the ability to grow rapidly because of wheat damage and enters into competition. Among these weeds, sterile wild oat (Avena sterilis L.) which is the main pest in wheat cultivation areas of Çukurova Region and herbicides are mostly used in their control. In order to avoid some problems such as environmental pollution, high cost, formation of residues and resistance caused by unnecessary and excessive use of herbicides, optimization of herbicide use is needed. In view of all these problems, this study was planned because it is necessary registration the main harmful weeds on species basis and effective minimum doses. The aim of this study was to determine the minimum dose of mesosulfuron-methyl 45 g/kg+thiencarbazone-methyl 22.5 g/kg+iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium 9 g/kg and pinoxaden 50 g/l+cloquintocet-mexyl 12.5 g/l active ingredients, registered in wheat, for sterile wild oat. According to the results, all applied doses of herbicides were effective on sterile wild oat (Avena sterilis L.). The highest effect was found on mesosulfuron-methyl 45 g/kg+thiencarbazone-methyl 22.5 g/kg+iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium 9 g/kg at the recommended dose (25 g/da, 18,75 g/da, 12,5 g/da, 6,25 g/da). The percentage effects of mesosulfuron-methyl 45 g/kg+thiencarbazone-methyl 22.5 g/kg+iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium 9 g/kg according to dry weight of sterile wild oat (Avena sterilis L.) were determined 86,4%, 72%, 70,5%, 65,3% respectively as mean of two years (2018 and 2019).
