Abstract (EN)

In this study, multifunctional hydrophilic coatings which have anti-fogging and anti-bacterial properties were obtained. Alcoxy functional hydrophilic compounds were synthesised by 3-isocyanato-propyltrietoxysilane (IPTES) and 3-triethoxysilyl-propylsuccinicanhydride (GF-20) were reacted seperately with different molecular weight (Mn: 200, 400 ve 600) of PEG and ATLAS-25 for taking hydophilic properties of coatings. Synthesized compounds were characterised by FT-IR (Fourier Transform-Infrared Spectroscopy). The coating solutions were prepared by hydrophilic character of compounds with in SiO2:3-glycidyloxy-propyltriethoxysilane (GLYEO) composite matrix using different binder systems than glass surfaces were coated by sprey coating method and cured. Hydrophilic performans tests, optic analysis ( % Light transmission, % Haze ), mechanical tests (adhesion test, scratch hardness, pencil hardness, friction fastness), anti-bacterial test and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) analysis were applied to coated surfaces. The thickness of coated film was 15µm, contact angle was 10º for opposite to water and scratch hardness was 2N. The transparent coatings which have resistance to water, anti-fogging and anti-bacterial were attained.
