Abstract (EN)

In recent years, the concept of competency has become increasingly important in professional life. Competency is defined as the knowledge, skills and characteristics that distinguishes high performance from average performance. This study is carried out in the state bank. Its main purpose is to determine the competencies and weigh them for employees and managers by using the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP), one of the multi criteria decision making method. In this way, employees can focus on what is expected of them and more accurate and detailed application is provided in human resources processes. The study has 3 stages. The first stage is the determination of the competencies expected from the employees. For determining competencies, all competencies and their definitions were sent to employees of different titles. Employees were asked to group competencies. Then the competencies were sorted as a result of the information received. The second stage is the making a hierarchy and gathering data. After determining the competencies, hierarchy was made and pairwise comparison matrix was created. In the third stage, calculations and consistency analyzes were made for the FAHP method. As a result of the calculations, competencies and weights have been determined to be used in all human resources applications.
