Abstract (EN)

The subject of our study includes seven grave steles dating to the Greco-Roman and Roman Periods in the Bursa Archeology Museum. The artifacts were examined on-site in the museum, were identified and photographed, and a literature search was conducted to identify similar examples. In the first part of the thesis, information was given about the geographic location of the Mysia Region, the places of the steles and the Bursa Archeology Museum. Within the scope of the subject, the works brought from Bursa and surrounding provinces in our study area were examined in terms of iconographic and epigraphical aspects and form and stylistic comparisons were made with the works in the surrounding regions or in museums. Our goal is to revise previously published and unpublished steles. Keywords: Bursa, Mysia, Northwestern Turkey, stele, sculpture, epigraphy, Hellenistic period, Roman period.
