Research and analysis of Bursevî's Arabic work named Şerhu'l-Erbaîne Hadisen

This study conducts a critical edition and analysis of Bursawi's work titled "Sharh al-Arba'in Hadith". The thesis, comprising an introduction and two main sections, begins by offering a concise overview of Bursawi's life and his scholarly persona in the introductory chapter. The first section delves into the authorship of the work, its date of composition, manuscript copies, sources, and commentary methodology. It has been observed that Bursawi undertakes word and sentence analyses in his exegesis of hadiths, presents examples from his own time, and elucidates the juridical rulings inferred from these narrations. Generally, it is determined that he interprets hadiths from a Sufi perspective and elucidates certain narrations through verses, hadiths, and poetry. The second section, which includes the critical edition part in Arabic, focuses on the critical edition of the work. Key Words: Bursawi, Hadith, Critical Edition, Analysis, Commentary
