Abstract (EN)

In this study, a modified Gates interferometer system is shown to be a highly effective and practical technique for generating square fringe patterns with independently varying frequencies in two different directions. It has been shown that this technique enables the simultaneous acquisition of 3D profiles of objects with two different sizes and abrupt height transitions from a single image. It is also shown that with this technique, the study can be realized without the need for additional optical elements to be adapted to the system. To test the validity of the study, images of objects with deformed fringe patterns were captured with a CMOS camera and analyzed with a 2D wavelet transform guided by a reliability map. After the processing of the images, 3D profiles were obtained and these profiles were compared with the real values within the selected parameters to verify the validity of the method.
