Abstract (EN)

Project management is a true management activity that lives up to the word "management" in its name. The innovations that are created and built with the effectiveness of management activities are among the milestones that lead organizations to success. Flexibility has been added to project management standards by incorporating the management perspective into the project management concept through traditional and agile approaches. This dissertation is about the applicability of Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods in relation to complex business execution variables in software development projects and the impact of agile and traditional methods on the success of the project. The dissertation includes detailed explanations on the importance of software project management, details on the research problem of project development process - team allocation, literature categorized by topic, explanations on software development processes, details on the fuzzy MCDM methods used in the dissertation, description of the proposed method, validation and case results and management implications. Interval-valued Neutrosophic Z-number sets (NZN) and fuzzy decision making methods are used to solve the problem of selecting the right development process and assigning the most suitable teams to this process in software development projects. Based on the NZN method, the new NZN-Area method has been introduced in the literature. This method ranks the alternatives by calculating the area instead of the linear distance. The NZN-Area method was applied to the same problem as the NZN method. Relatively better results were obtained. Thus, by expanding the solution space with sensitivity analysis within the framework of the proposed problem, the effectiveness of the fuzzy MCDM methods and the NZN-Area method is demonstrated. In the case analysis, the number of defects in the projects and their solution times were analyzed in terms of the rankings obtained using the NZN and NZN-Area methods. It was found that NZN-Area gives 22% better results in terms of number of defects and 25% better results in terms of defect resolution time compared to the NZN method.
