Abstract (EN)

Performing statistical modelling with growth data is the most efficient way to achieve more objective results and to understand biological development. Growth models are divided into linear and nonlinear growth models. Schnute growth model is one of the nonlinear growth models. This growth model is a model that includes other models. While the Schnute growth model can define many limit forms with a single model, other growth models handle these forms separately and cannot explain with a single formulation how growth has changed. In this study, first of all, the obtainment of Schnute's growth function is demonstrated. The parameters of the Schnute growth model were transformed into biologically meaningful parameters and the modified Schnute growth equation was found. Model selection criteria were applied on bacterial data and comparative analysis of growth models was performed. Key Words:, Growth models, Modified Equation, Schnute
