The effects of employees' ethical leadership perceptions on organizational justice and organizational cynicism: An application in Çorum

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the effects of employees' ethical leadership perceptions on organizational justice and organizational cynicism. Therefore, in this study, it has been examined whether the managerial behaviors in the organizations comply with the ethical values, how the value that the managers give to the justice in the organization is perceived by the employees and how this perception is effective in the cynicism feelings they develop against the organization. A total of 388 people working in a public institution in Çorum constitute the sample of this study. Survey method was used as a data collection tool within the scope of the study, and demographic characteristics, ethical leadership scale, organizational justice scale and organizational cynicism scale were used while creating the questionnaire. In order to test the hypotheses put forward in the research, the data obtained from the questionnaire study applied to the employees were evaluated with the SSPS 22.0 statistical program with frequency, t-Test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analyzes. As a result of the analyzes, significant relationships were found between all three variables, ethical leadership perception, organizational justice and organizational cynicism. It has been determined that the perception of ethical leadership and organizational justice negatively affect organizational cynicism at a moderate level. Again, significant differences were found between the demographic characteristics of the participants and ethical leadership, organizational justice and organizational cynicism.
