Abstract (EN)
In this research, conducted in Ankara province with the departments employing ex-offenders, it is aimed to determine the prejudice level of municipal officials against ex-offenders they are working with, their attitude towards the reintegration of ex-offenders into the society (providing vocational education to ex-offenders and social contact with them), the big five personality traits and the level of social dominance orientation. The relationships between the big five personality traits and prejudice against ex-offenders, attitudes towards the reintegration of ex-offenders into the society and dominance orientation are studied. Intermediary role of the social dominance orientation is analyzed between big five personality traits and prejudice against ex-offenders and attitudes towards the reintegration of ex-offenders. In this study it is observed that there is a significant negative correlation between five personality traits and social dominance orientation; a negative correlation between prejudice against ex-offenders and agreeableness, extroversion and openness to experience aspects of five personality traits; a positive correlation between vocational education to the ex-offenders and agreeableness, openness to experience and conscientiousness; a positive correlation between social dominance orientation and prejudice against ex-offenders; an intermediary role of anti-equality orientation in the relationship between agreeableness and prejudice against ex-offenders; an intermediary role of anti-equality orientation in the relationship between the attitudes towards providing vocational education to the ex-offenders and agreeableness.
