Cross-platform developments have become a very popular subject for developers, writing for multiple platforms separately is slowly getting replaced by writing only a single code base that works cross platform due to the software and application development needs and to reduce cost and time. The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate some of the most used cross platform tools on mobile platforms such as Appcelerator, Xamarin, Flutter and React Native, discussing them and demonstrating their architecture and features, as well as presenting some of the most popular server-side technologies that are used to create web applications that are cross platform in nature, for example, Apache, Nginx, and Node.js. To demonstrate the use of these tools we have taken cargo tracking as an example to develop a cross platform system, since the transportation of cargos have played a vital role in the evolution of the human civilization, today, customers want to know where exactly their cargo is at, this system provides precious coordinates to the cargos that are transported by providing maps and location name of the cargo, this system is designed using cross platform tool of Flutter for mobile applications such as Android and iOS, as well as creating a web based application for personal computer platforms such as Windows, macOS and other platforms.
