Abstract (EN)

Muslim religious leaders have played an important role in Russian uprisings since the second half of the 18th century. The Tsarist administration saw this situation as a major threat to state security that needed to be add With a religious affairs administressed immediately. With Tsarist approval for the establishment of a religious affairs administration, the existence of Muslim religious officials and institutions would become official, and religious leaders activities would be controlled. This study focuses on the Southern Caucasus Islamic Administration, which was centrally established in Tbilisi Tsarist Russia with the regulation dated April 5, 1872, in order to establish a powerful religious administration taht would provide control and control over the Muslims living South Causcasus. Up until the 1917 Revolution, the South Caucasus Islamic Administration was still in activity during the 45 years that the aforementioned administration has been in operation, numerous issues have been thoroughly examined, including its administrative structure and formation, the appointment, dismissal, and reappointment of officials, officials trials and the responsibilities of schools affiliated with the administration.
