Abstract (EN)

In this study, Park Termik Çayırhan Lignite Pit, the underground coal mining by the full mechanical excavation in our country, excavations in the field E, the excavation performance of Dosco Mk2B boom type roadheader used in E east main roadway and the physical and mechanical characteristics of geological units that are continual throughout the roadway are investigated. Brazilian tensile strength and uniaxial compressive experiment are applied in Dumlupınar University on the samples taken from the excavation faces and the values acquired from results replaced in the empirical formulas and the optimum specific energy(kWh/m3) value is obtained. Net excavation speed is calculated by the empirical formula of Rostami et al. (1994). The results regarding Dosco Mk2B's performance are obtained by the comparison of the results and continuous underground activities monitoring with the values gathered in the control center. Besides, geological units in the face sections of XRD and XRF mineral ingredients are analyzed, the densities and the Schmidt Hammer values are identified. Lastly, geological units experimented by the Cerchar Abrasivity Index Test and the empirical formula of Bilgin et al. (2006), which gives cutting bit consumption, is applied to find required optimum consumption bit number. Consumed bit amount is compared with the required bit amounts.
