Abstract (EN)
in ABSTRACT In this study, unreinforced aluminum matrix alloy, woven and unidirectional steel fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composites with a fiber volume fraction at 10% are produced by squeeze casting methods. The mechanical and physical properties of these materials are determined, and microstructural investigations are carried out. It is observed that the ultimate tensile strength values of woven steel fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composites are less than unreinforced aluminum matrix alloy. However the results of unidirectional steel fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composites are found so similar with its theoretical results.
