Cemîl Mahmûd Bey Dîvânı: Research-text

This thesis is the first study for Cemîl Mahmûd Bey and his Divan, who lived in the 20th century and is one of the poems of the old Turkish Literature in the same age. In the study, the peom?s life, style, the critics of his works in terms of form and content, and finally the text with transcript were mentioned. In the 1st part, the poems life and work; in the 2nd part, the verse forms and types which the peot used in his poems under the heading of Survey; and in the 3rd part, the text with transcript of the Cemîl Mahmûd Bey and his Divan were covered. There is only one existing copy of this Divan today. From the study of the Divan, we concluded that the Divan includes 117 odes, 4 müstezad, 3 pentastich, 5 tahmis, 87 müseddes, 1 murabba, 9 songs, 9 dates ve 2 dirges. Also, the classical style was preferred in the poems composing the Divan and the feelings and the thoughts were described with the familiar words and imageries. As a result, we were able to introduce the Divan to the Literature World by giving information about Cemîl Mahmûd Bey's literature identity and the thesis performed.
