Abstract (EN)
This study will examine the symbolic meanings attributed to animals, which are considered protagonists and characters within the plot of The Dreams of the Female Wolf and White Fang This study will explore the roles assigned to animals by Cengiz Aytmatov and Jack London within their novels, and the similarities and differences between these roles. Details regarding the animal symbolism of these two works, written at different times and in different geographies, will be evaluated using comparative literary methods. This study, which attempts to express the artistic quality of the works and the degree of inspiration or influence in light of their similarities and differences, will examine animal symbolism on a general archetypal basis. To further elaborate the study, a pluralistic approach, a comparative method, will be employed, with the psychoanalytic approach being the most frequently employed.
