Abstract (EN)
Architectural cantilevers in buildings in Turkey is one of the most common features. These properties affect the mass distribution of the buildings and both buildings have formed on the disorder affects the behavior under load of the building. At the same time, this cantilevers cause flat floors between the colums. This situation partly or totally outside the front of the frame or a frame in one direction actually leads to work as flat floor. In this thesis, the beams of the discontinuity examined and the results were evaluated over 12 sample buildings. Examples of buildings examined using linear and nonlinear analysis methods. Finally according to the regulations in TDY 2007, have been discussed beams discontinuities and have been obtained the results that may be useful for design engineers.
