Abstract (EN)

In this study; obtaining dynamical models and feedback control of vorticity and drag/lift coefficient of fluid systems, whose dynamical behavior is often hard to express mathematically, was investigated over geometries such as, flapping NACA0012 airfoil, circular cylinder body and NACA23012 airfoil with fixed angle of attack. If we examine the studies grouped under selected geometries; firstly, velocity vectors of the flow of flapping NACA0012 airfoil was obtained by using particle image velocimetry (PIV). After applying a number of additional processes(detection of the airfoil via image processing) to these velocity vectors, a linear dynamical model was obtained by using proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) and system identification (SI). Secondly, linear and non-linear dynamical modeling of flow around a circular cylinder body was examined and design of controllers for these models to suppress vorticity was achieved. Thirdly, a non-linear modeling approach carried out and control of drag/lift coefficient for NACA23012 airfoil with fixed angle of attack was investigated.Key Words: Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD), Dynamical Modeling, System Identification (SI), Vorticity Control, D/L Control
