Synthesis and identification of coumarin-carboxylic acid hydrazide hybrid compounds

Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, six novel hydrazide-coumarin hybrids have not been synthesized in the literature. At first methyl esters of 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid 6, (E)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acrylic acid 2, 2-hydroxybenzoic acid 4 and 5-amino-2-hydroxybenzoic acid 5, nicotinic acid 1 and (2E)-3-Phenylacrylic acid 3, which are phenolic acid derivatives, were synthesized and hydrazide compounds were prepared by reaction of these acid esters with hydrazine hydrate. To form hybrids of these acid hydrazides with coumarin, 3-carboxy chlorine coumarin compound was synthesized. The (E)-N'-(3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acryloyl)-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carbohydrazide 25 was synthesized in 70% yield and the other five hydrazide-coumarin hybrids were synthesized in 90-95% yield. The structures of the synthesized ester, hydrazide, coumarin and hybrid compounds were illuminated using FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy.
