The protection of the widness in kriminall procedure law

In this thesis, the meaning of witness, the evidence value of the declaration he gives, and the ways of protection of witness have been examined. The subject has been examined as two parts. The first part covers the concept of witness, the importance of witness? declaration in ways of proof, the difference of the witness from other legal means of criminal procedure witness and the rights and duties, the procedure of hearing of to the witness. Additionally, this study also examines the relationship between the measurements for the protection of the witness and the principles of Criminal Procedure Law. The second part of the study is based on the idea that the witness more neccesserily be protected in case of organized crimes. Thus, the existing legal regulations on the protection of witness in case of organized crimes are examined relatively in detail. In this sense, the protection granted for the witness has a great importance because of their delicate position in Criminal Procedure. Since these kind of witnesses usually become a target of crime organization. For this reason it?s almost imposible to convince witnesses to take the stand. For the reasons stated above, the subject of our thesis is ?The Protection of the witness in Criminal Procedure Law?. Having of a great importance ?Drafting Law on Protection of witnesses? is also given place within this part of this study.
