Abstract (EN)
The necessity of placing children involved in crime at an early age as a result of individual or environmental factors in a different position within the criminal justice system has gained validity over time. As a result, children driven to crime have been given separate trial procedures compared to adults with accepted international conventions and national legal regulations. In our thesis, firstly, the concepts of children in national and international law were defined, and then the reasons that led children to crime were emphasized. Then, the trial processes of children driven to crime were examined in the light of current judicial decisions on the basis of the Turkish Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law and Child Protection Law. In all criminal procedure processes of the child, the idea of protecting the benefit of the child has been prioritized, and current regulations and expectations from the future have been compared.
