Abstract (EN)

The world population has increased excessively in the last century. Continuous increase in the world population has caused environmental problems and a decrease in agricultural areas. The decrease in agricultural areas has accelerated the migration of people from rural areas to cities. Environmental pollution problems arose on the increasing population in the cities. Air pollution, which affects human health negatively, comes to the fore at the beginning of these pollutions. Many people die during the year due to air pollution-induced pollutants. Gases produced in the chimneys of industrial facilities that meet the energy needs of people, gases released in the exhausts of the vehicles, particles formed as a result of the wear of the tires of the vehicles, etc. air pollution occurs for reasons. Gases and particles formed due to such reasons cause heavy metal accumulation in plants. Heavy metals can remain intact for many years in nature and have toxic and carcinogenic effects. For this reason, heavy metal pollution and accumulation should be monitored. Plants are used to monitor and detect heavy metal deposits. However, in order to determine which heavy metal should be used in which plant, it is very important to monitor it with the necessary precision and meticulousness. In this study, the traffic density of K, Cr, Co, Ni, Pb, Al, Cd, Ba, Ca, Na, Fe, Mn and Mg elements in the fruits and leaves of Cucumis sativus, Solanum lycopersicum and Capsicum plants grown in areas where traffic density is different in Ankara. It is aimed to determine the change of concentrations depending on. As a result of the study, Cr, Co, Pb, Al, Ba, Na and Mn concentrations increased depending on the traffic density. K, Ni, Cd, Ca, Fe and Mg concentrations, on the other hand, also changed with environmental effects, excluding traffic density
