Abstract (EN)

Both manufacturing cement and improving current properties, lots of chemical and mineral additives come together. The harmony or disharmony of these additives directly affects the quality of cement. In order to control the qualities of clinker and final products, cement factories make tens of elemental analyses in a day. Within these analyses methods, in order to determine oxide component of Si, Al, Fe and Ca, X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF) is prefered because of the important features like easy sample preparation, analytical evaluation advantage, give quick result and sensitiveness. In this study, the samples, taken from four processes (limestone, farin, clinker, final product) of cement production, are formed as glass disc whose optimum fusion temperature is 16000C and subjected to XRF. All XRF analyses are done in Bursa Cement Factory Quality Control Laboratory which has WDXRF device that can do qualitative and quantitative analyses and in Bursa Technical University Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Laboratory which has WDXRF device that can do semi quantitative analyses. The results belong to the same samples optimized to each other, standard deviation calculated, ratio of major components showed on graphics. In addition to study, below (14000C) and above (17000) optimum fusion temperature, fusion temperatures are chosen and provided that other variables held constant the effects of fusion temperature to XRF is researched. Again the results belong to the same samples optimized to each other, the difference of standard deviation ratio and optimum temperature is calculated, also percent standard deviation ratio of three different fusion temperature belongs to each process is shown on graphics. XRF results of both samples which prepared at optimum fusion temperature were close to each other. The values got from clinker and CEM I matched up with the values determined by standards. Data got from the temperature at 14000C and 17000C, especially for limestone and farin, except from CaO ratio, the ratio of other components showed similar results among themselves but they gave different results at optimum fusion temperature.
