Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, zinc oxide addition was investigated in a standardporcelain formulation. Investigated formulations in experiment weredetermined with general factorial design experiment. Factorial designprovides a way of evaluating both the effect of several factors at the sametime and interaction among them. Factorial design is highly useful forevaluating the influence of one or more factors. In the study, design containszinc oxide?s three level and other four factors? two level. Shrinkage, colour,water absorption, density, porosity, bending strength measurements wereachieved on the samples produced from the recipes. Minerological and phaseanalysis of the representative samples were analysed by XRD and SEM.Datas were analysed with Minitab 13.20 programme and results wereintroduced.Keywords: Zinc Oxide, Porcelain, Experiment Design, Colour, PhysicalPropertiesii
