Abstract (EN)

Contrary to other crystal alloys, metallic glasses have superiorities on magnetic, mechanic and electrical properties. Other superiorities of metallic glasses are of having high magnetization, which enables the alloy to be used in magnetic cooling technology, and Curie temperature around room temperature. For this purpose, the alloys of Co61Cr2Ta2.75Nb2.75B26.5Si5, Co51Fe10Cr2Ta2.75Nb2.75B26.5Si5 and Co46Fe15Cr2Ta2.75Nb2.75B26.5Si5 were prepared using suction-casting method and magnetic properties were measured by Magnetic Properties Measurement System (MPMS) and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). All magnetic property parameters were determined experimentally for Fe-free alloy and the results have shown that the alloy has ferromagnetic phase and high magneto caloric effect due to it reaches magnetic saturation at 0.2 Tesla. On the other hand, the alloys have paramagnetic phase at room temperature as having very low Curie temperature. Moreover, effective magnetic moments depending on Bohr magneton of the alloys were determined via both experimental and calculation results. The very low total magnetic moment results show that the alloys are not suitable using in magnetic cooling technology.
