Educaiton rights of children in the context of children's rights

For societies, the issue of children is of tremendous importance since it will determine what the course of their future will be. Every society is in an attempt to raise a strong, healthy generation that can cope with the potential problems and maintain the social continuation of itself. It is recognized that this cycle is pretty normal. In this context, education is highly crucial for the individual and the society, and it influences and shapes both the everyday life of the individual and the society and its development in the future. Education is by far the most important process in the development of societies because of its contribution to the formation of a social structure and of its direct impact on the lives of the individuals in the future. In my thesis, I have attempted to put forth the child's right to education, its course of development in domestic and international law and how it is exercised today. I have in this way striven to study how the child's right to education has developed through history and how it is implemented now in national and international law in detail. The topic of our study revolves around the children's rights and the child's right to education in the light of international documents and the Turkish Law. In this context, the concepts of "child" and "children's rights" are primarily dealt with, and then their historical course of development and national and international regulations or amendments are examined concerning children's rights.
