Abstract (EN)

Aim: The aim of the study is to determine whether the games prepared in the Scratch programming environment and playable with Kinect are related to the motor development level of children. Materials and methods: In the research, experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group was used. The research was carried out in amateur sports (football) club in Karşıyaka district of İzmir province in the spring term of the 2018-2019 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 10 male students. Five of the participants were included in the experimental group and the other five were included in the control group. Five volunteer students in the experimental group received eight-week Kinect Supported Scratch Game Applications (KDSOU). The control group students continued their football training in the same period. Findings: There was no statistically significant difference between the KDSOU and Pendulum Ball posttest scores of the experimental and control groups (p>,05). There was no statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest of KDSOU and Pendulum Top of the experimental and control groups (p>, 05). However, KDSOU and Pendulum Ball post-test-pre-test differences in favor of the experimental group. Results: As a result, it was found that students who play KDSOU rarely transfer basic movement skills to non-virtual real environments (Pendulum Ball Test). Students' transfer rates vary according to their individual differences.
