The takhrij and analysis of hadiths concerning the protection of children and beverages

In this study, we basically made an assessment about Prophet Muhammad's hadith including security, hygiene, spiritual protection and sense of responsibility; especially advices such as "Children should not be taken out in the evening" and "Food and beverages should be covered, too" based on the narration lines. The content of the narrations in this study is examined particularly in the context of child safety and preventive medicine (psychohygiene). In this research consists of an introduction, two main parts and a conclusion. Firstly, the purpose, importance, method, scope and resources of the study are explained in the first part of introduction. The hadith was expounded and the narration lines have been identified. In addition to this, the reliability levels were determined by analyzing the narrator chain. In the second part, as well as textual criticism, the issue of how the hadith is understood is discussed. Moreover, the hadith was analyzed in terms of content. It is especially evaluated in the context of child safety and preventive medicine. The recommendations of Prophet Muhammad 14 centuries ago largely overlap with modern preventive health practices; it contains universal principles on topics such as ensuring home security in the evenings, paying attention to food hygiene and the protection of children. In this respect, it has been concluded that the hadith we are talking about is resistant to time and in harmony with today's understanding of health and safety.
