Abstract (EN)

Aim and Background: Anemia, hemoglobin, hematocrit or erythrocyte levels are below the normal values determined by age and sex. Hemoglobin is a common condition in pediatric clinic where oxygen transport to tissues is insufficient. Studies have shown that the prevalence of anemia in children under 5 years of age is reported to be 39% in developing countries and 48% in children between 5 and 14 years of age. Half of the patients with anemia were reported as iron deficiency anemia. The clinical spectrum of iron deficiency anemia is very wide. The most important non-hematological complication is the cardiovascular system. In order to investigate the electrocardiographic changes of iron deficiency anemia in the heart; QT, QTc, Tpe interval, Tpe / QTc and QT dispersion parameters of the patients diagnosed and treated with iron deficiency anemia were evaluated before and after treatment
