Abstract (EN)

Introduction and objective: In childhood malignant diseases, various skin findings occur as a result of skin, mucous membrane, hair and nail involvement. Diagnosis of these skin symptoms is difficult due to drug reactions, infections, skin involvement of primary disease. There are not enough studies on skin findings seen in childhood malignancies. The aim of this study is to determine the frequency of skin findings in childhood malignancies. Material and methods: 110 patients diagnosed with malignancy aged 0-18 with skin findings were included in the study. Patients diagnosed with childhood malignancy were consulted at the oncology service and outpatient clinic. These patients underwent a detailed dermatological examination, including oralgenital mucosa, hair and nails. These patients include erythema, papules, pustules, etc.on the skin of the body. patients with a rash have been identified. These patients ' age, sex, current diseases, duration of the current disease, the drugs they received, location of the skin lesion, characteristics of the skin lesion, duration of the skin lesion, symptoms related to the skin lesion and diagnosis of the skin lesion were determined and noted. Diagnosis methods such as Anamnesis, dermatological examination, nativ preparation, wound culture, histopathological examination were used in the diagnosis of the disease. Results: the mean age and standard deviation of the patients in the study were 6.77±3.65. Detailed dermatological examination, including Oral-genital mucosa, hair and nails, was performed. The most common diseases were dermatitis (20.9%), mucositis (15.5%), herpes simplex 1-2 infection (13.6%), generalizexerosiscutis (10.9%), thrombocytopenia-induced purpura (10%). The distribution of skin lesions in patients (p<0.05) was limited (74%) and widespread (26%). The diagnosis of skin findings of the patients was most frequently determined by Anamnesis and physical examination (89.1%). Of the patients present, the most common ALL (71.8%) disease was found in those with the skin. Conclusion: regular dermatological examination in pediatric hemato-oncology clinics can help solve diagnostic and therapeutic problems.
