Abstract (EN)

The formulation of multibody acoustic radiation problems by Helmholtz integral equation and its numerical solution are presented. Solution of the integral equation was performed by the boundary element method and due to the isoparametric element formulation, both the surface geometry and the surface acoustic variables were represented by the second order shape functions. An APL program was developed to analyze acoustical characteristics of three dimensional sources having arbitrary shapes and different surface velocity distributions. Various acoustical characteristics of two dilating spherical sources were examined and the validity of CHIEF method, which is widespreadly used to eliminate the deficiencies in the solution of surface Helmholtz integral equation at certain nondimensional wave numbers, for multibody radiation problems was discussed. ii
