Abstract (EN)

The banking sector plays a crucial role in ensuring economic growth, financial stability, and security. Therefore, accurately measuring the financial performance of banks is of great importance. In addition to traditional methods, Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) approaches have increasingly been used in performance evaluations in recent years. These methods enable the simultaneous consideration of multiple criteria, offering more objective and comprehensive results. In this study, the financial performance of the 10 largest banks in terms of total assets was analyzed using data from the years 2019 to 2023. The MCDM methods CRITIC and COPRAS were applied in the analysis. First, the CRITIC method was used to determine the weights of the criteria, and then the COPRAS method was employed to rank the banks. The aim of the study is to reveal the performance levels of the banks and provide a comparative assessment. Based on the findings, evaluations were made regarding the overall condition of the sector, and several recommendations were presented.
