Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to examine students' self-efficacy perceptions according to demographic variables and to reveal the effects of activities based on Multiple Intelligence Theory on students' self-efficacy perceptions in the 4th grade Social Studies course. The research was carried out using an unequalized control group experimental model, which is one of the quantitative research methods. The participants of the research are 4th grade students studying in two public primary schools affiliated to the Tepebaşı District National Education Directorate in Eskişehir in the 2022-2023 academic year. "Self-Efficacy Efficiency Scale-Child Form" and personal information form were used for research data. As a result of the research, the data obtained were examined and it was seen that the groups had similar demographic characteristics. When the scores obtained from the scale were examined, it was determined that the scores of the groups did not differ significantly in terms of demographic variables. The normality test of the scores obtained from the scale was performed and it was seen that the scores showed a normal distribution. As a result of the t-test, there was no significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores of the control group, while a significant difference emerged between the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental group. As a result of the t-test performed to compare the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental and control groups, while there was no significant difference between the pretest scores, it was determined that there was a significant difference in the posttest scores in favor of the experimental group in which activities for Multiple Intelligence Theory were applied. According to the results of the research, some suggestions were made. Keywords: Social Sciences Class, Self-efficacy, Multiple Intelligence Theory
