Abstract (EN)
In this study, the antioxidant and antibacterial activity of Conium maculatum L. was investigated. In the literature review, there is no study on bioactive compounds related to this plant. For this reason, water and methanol extarcts of the root, stem, leaf, flower and seed parts of this species were obtained and their biological activities were examined. While the antioxidant values of the extracts obtained showed high values, it was determined that the oxidant values of the extracts obtained in the same way also high. Again, in terms of antibacterial activity on this species, it was observed that it was not effective against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC-29213, Escheria coli ATCC-25922, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC-27853 and Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC-70603 bacteria. As a result, it was revealed that it does not have active compounds with antimicrobial properties.
