Abstract (EN)

The various contaminants from leachate and mainly having inhibition effect on biological treatment indicate that leachate can not be treated easily. In order to treat leachate effectively in our country and worldwide, many studies focused on the various treatment units. Those studies have been carried out by using different combinations of treatment systems. In this study, the treatment of leachate by anaerobic membran bioreactor was researched. Moreover, the removal efficiency of COD, the capacity of gas production and the effect of utilization of sulphate as electron accepter by microorganism on the generation of biogas were evaluated by feeding with different ratio of leachate/acetate in An-MBR. According to results from experimental studies, the removal of COD was found by 50% during the adaptation phase and in the range of 75 to 85% at different ratio of leachate/acetate. Furthermore it was found that the reduction of the amount of methane occurred when the content of sulphate increased in An-MBR.
