Abstract (EN)
Possible changes in kidney function values in patients with a diagnosis of Covid 19 SUMMARY We aimed to investigate the effects of COVID-19 on kidney function tests and fluid electrolyte parameters. A study was conducted on a total of 10,269 patients who were admitted to Eskişehir City Hospital and whose test results were positive or negative. Polymerase chain reaction test and computed tomography lung films were taken to diagnose COVID-19 in patients. Biochemical test results of two groups of patients with positive and negative test results were examined. When the values were examined; BUN, Creatinine, data in COVID-19 positive patients were higher than in negative patients. No statistical difference was detected in potassium values. Albumin, Chlorine, Sodium and Total Protein levels were lower in Covid-19 positive patients (p<0.05). It has been found that there are biochemical variables that evaluate kidney function in patients with a positive COVID-19 test result. Abnormalities in some biochemical indices in kidney function tests can determine the severity of the disease. Indexes and panels can be created by using these comprehensive biochemical indicators from the stage of diagnosis of the disease throughout the treatment process.
