Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to examine the leadership styles of managers working in CrossFit gyms from the perspective of employees. Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected using the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) developed by Bass and Avolio (1995) and the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire developed by Koopmans (2014). The study group consisted of 156 employees (108 male, 48 female) working in various CrossFit facilities across Turkey. Non-parametric tests were utilized in the analysis. The results indicated that demographic variables such as gender, age, marital status, education level, income, and tenure did not show statistically significant differences in terms of leadership styles and job performance overall. However, in the "Task Performance" subdimension, male employees scored significantly higher than female employees (p < 0.05). No significant differences were found in other subdimensions. The findings suggest that in dynamic and high-interaction work environments such as CrossFit, leadership behaviors are more decisive than demographic factors in shaping employees' self-evaluations. This study contributes to the limited body of empirical research on the effects of leadership styles on employee performance in the field of sports management.
