Abstract (EN)
In this study, the energies of n ? 9, l ? 3 excited levels for neutral copper (Cu I, Z = 29), silver (Ag I, Z = 47) and gold (Au I, Z = 79), which have a s electron outside of full occupied d subshells, have been calculated using multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock (MCHF) approximation which is a configuration interaction method. Relativistic corrections on energy levels have been made within the framework Breit-Pauli relativistic interactions. In the first chapter, some of previous works on Cu I, Ag I and Au I have been given. In the second chapter, many electron atoms, MCHF method and Breit-Pauli relativistic corrections have been summarized briefly. In the third chapter, the wavefunctions, energies and some relativistic corrections for atoms mentioned above have been obtained using MCHF atomic structure package. Moreover, the results obtained have been presented in tables and compared with other experimental and theoretical results. In the last chapter, a discussion of the calculation results in this study has been given. Keywords: MCHF method, Breit-Pauli Hamiltonian, energy levels.
