Abstract (EN)

It is believed that a black hole resides at the center of majority of the known galaxies. Studies indicate that the masses of these black holes can be classified as intermediate (102M⊙BH106M⊙) or supermassive (MBH>106M⊙). While there has been significant progress in identifying and calculating the masses of supermassive black holes, intermediate-mass black holes (IMBHs), on the other hand, have remained illusive. Recent advancements in both the technical specifications of telescopes, as well as, theoretical advances have demonstrated that it is possible to infer the masses of IMBHs via scaling relations between the velocities and luminosities of emission lines in the optical spectra of active galactic nuclei (AGNs). In this work, we present an analysis of optical spectra using broad H and H lines for a number of candidate IMBHs defined in the X-ray and infrared wavebands. Optical data were taken from the SDSS data base and the TFOSC spectrograph operating with RTT-150 telescope located at the TUBITAK National Observatory (TUG). For the sample in our study, we estimated black hole masses in the range of ~8x102Mʘ-~3x105Mʘ.
