The history of Turkish graphic art in the republic period and Halis Biçer's works

This thesis has three chapters. In the first chapter, the definitions and concepts about graphics design art are explained, also the improvement of history and education about graphics design art are studied. In the second part, while it is told the development of the graphic arts in the world, the development of Turkish graphic art and education before and after the Republic, the development and change about the past and the future of Turkish graphic art in the Republican period are discussed. Also, it is mentioned today's graphic artists, Şükrü Ertürk, Hasip Pektaş, Zafer Lehimler and Beşir Güvener.In the third chapter, with obtained information about Prof. Halis Biçer's life and art, it has been told his views and ideas about graphics art , the value and importance given to graphics art. Halis Biçer's works that affect the Turkish graphics design art were discussed and his works are examined. It is aimed to introduce the artist who has an intimate approach to Turkish graphic art and an effective visual communication designer throughout his life by arranging the available resources. The selections were made and evaluated from Halis Biçer's graphic design art works. It has been tried to explain that the artist used his artistic designs with his unique designs in the name of visuality, values added to graphic art, innovations and original thoughts and he is a good pioneer in graphic design.
