The effects of Dardanella war in Turkish poetry in Repuplican Term

Battle of dardanel is a frequently mentioned subject in our poetry . We have found more than one thousand poems that are directly or undirectly written about the dardanel battles.Our main purpose is to evaluete these legendery poems from the scientific point.As I mentioned before , in order to find out the poems we have made a resaerch and find out more than one thousand poems.Despite the many poems about victories, many of them were not written literary and most of them do not have an aesthetic value at all .For this reason we had to make a sellection among these poems.We took the basics from the foreword of the book which is called? Cumhuriyet Dönemi Şiirimizin Altın Sayfaları?. It was written by Prof.Dr. Hasan Akay and Sedat Umran.Their principals are formed our criteria in choosing the poems.We started our work with the poem which is called ?Çanakkale Güllenirken? and other two hundred poems which were chosen among nearly one thousand poems according to some specific criterias.In our work we first summarised the historical reasons and results of the war and then we point out the reflections of the war to the poetry and in the third part we tried to tell the war evidently by means of the the poems. In the fourth part we focused on the concepts that are mostly mentioned in the poems.ın the fifth part, we focused on ten poems that we thought it is worth to choose because of their subjects, literary values and methods.Then we made critics of these poems. In criticism part we used a method called as ?yapı çözümleme? which is a method originaly put in by Prof. Dr. Hasan Akay in his book named ?Şiiri Yeniden Okumak?. In the sixth part we point out the gradually increasing public interest to Çanakkale area and its reflections in the poems and Turiksh community.In the last part; we made a general evaluation and then we attached the full texts of criticised poems at the end our study in order to make it more easy to be uderstood.As a result; in ?Otoman States/Otoman Empire? as soon as the war started. It is tried to be made up of newly form that is called ?harp Edebiyatı/literature of war? as first time in its history.consequently in war literature poems about Dardanel War is take a great part.
