Nagorno Karabagh issue

Nagorna Karabagh, situated between Azerbaican, Armenia and Iran is on a crucial standpoint of Caucassia. It has been a region of geopolitical and strategic location which has been under danger of conquest almost throughout history and has been home to many wars. In the process of Soviet Union?s breaking, the origin of Karabagh Issue goes back to 19th century which also broke out as Armenia?s claim on Azerbaycan?s lands. Both nations have claimed Karabagh region to be their land and this has influenced most countries politically, economically and strategically and most of all Turkey. Various international organizations have shown attempts to resolve this issue- which is stil unresolved- at different times, the most comprehensive of which is AGIT-Minsk Group?s work. The aim of this study is to make a detailed research on the historical process of Karabagh problem.
