Abstract (EN)
-vın- ABSTRACT In this study, flow characteristic of two-dimensional, viscous, incompressible, fully developed and laminar flow through converging-diverging duct were numerically investigated. Two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations in cartesian coordinates were solved by using finite element method. Galerkin approach was employed as a solutions method in finite elements. Velocity and pressure distributions along the converging-diverging duct, the lenght of separated flow regions and pressure loss coefficient were computed aganist Reynolds number by varying the geometrical constriction.
