The analysis of the narrations of the critised of Dāraqutnῑ in Sahῑh al-Bukhārῑ -especially in at-Tatabbu'-

Among the hadith books, Muhammad b. Ismaīl el-Buhārī's al-Jāmi'u's-sahīh has an important place and value. Until today, many studies have been carried out on the al-Jāmi'u's-sahīh, especially in the form of commentary and sabridgment. The isnāds and texts of the hadīths mentioned in the work were examined. Suspended (mu'allaq) narrations and supported isnāds (mutabi') have been the subject of special studies. On the other hand, the investigation of the hadīths to detect hidden defects (ilal) began along with the examination of the narrators. Buhārī is one of the important hadith critics of the period when the science of ilelü'l-hadīth was formed, and the first works on it were produced. His evaluations and findings were accepted as evidence and sources both in his own time and in subsequent periods. One of the hadīth scholars who specialized in this branch of knowladge, in which a limited number of people excelled, was Dāraqutnī. Hadīth scholars have made evaluations about the isnāds and texts of ahādīth in al-Jāmi'u's-sahīh since the time they were compiled, and these studies continue today. One of the hadīth critics who studied the hadīths of al-Jāmi'u's-sahîh was Dāraqutnī. His book at-Tatabbuʿ, which contains his evaluations of the hadith in Sahīhayn, is the earliest surviving work of its kind, as far as can be determined. In this thesis, after providing general information about the concept of hidden defects (ilal), its causes, scope and types and studies on ilelu'l-hadīth, the isnāds and narrators of the hadith in Sahīh-i Buhārī critized by Dāraqutnī are discussed in the context of at-Tatabbuʿ. Dāraqutnī generally identifies a few narrators from the isnād and mentions the subject of the text in question, and these narrations from al-Jāmi'u's-sahīh and other hadīth collections are analyzed. After the identifying of the isnāds, the variants and the text contents are compared with the help of the commentaries. Along with research and comparisons, information from works of jarh and ta'dīl, history and ilel. Finally, the defect mentioned or by Dāraqutnī was evaluated. In particular, through the examination of Sahīh-i Buhārī's narrations al-Tatabbuʿ and the author's method were evaluated, and the nature of his critiques was analyzed. Dārequtnī reviewed the Buhārī's chains of narration by comparing the numerous chains of hadiths that, had increased over time, and he pointed out the disagreements in the chains. It has been determined that both Buhārī, in including the hadīths in his work and Dāraqutnī, in evaluating the isnāds did not follow a single method; rather, they used different methods depending on the subject, individual and the chain of the transmission.
