The impact of the values on political thought and political preferances: Konyaaltı example

The aim of this thesis is to determine the impact of values on political thought and political preferences in Konyaaltı county of Antalya. There are many factors that affect the political thought and preferences of electorate. These factors in general are personal demographic characteristics, public opinion and mass communications, economic condition of the country and leadership. Another factor which affects political preferences is values. Today, it is possible for political parties and leaders to empower their political communication by learning the impact of values on political preferences. In this context, Shalom Schwartz?s Portrait Values Questionnaire (PVQ), which has been handled in many academic studies in recent years, is used to reveal the impact of values on political preferences in Konyaaltı.
